UPDATE 8/23/08 I've received 47 payments for the bus as of this afternoon, so the bus is full. So, please don't send money for the bus ride. If you have sent a check, I will send it back to you, unless you want me to hold onto it in case someone cancels. For those of you who expressed interest in taking the bus, I will contact you if someone cancels.
Please note that this carpool/buspool entry is an individual effort and not sponsored by DharmaWheels Foundation. Dear BBP riders and volunteers, I reserved a bus to take riders and volunteers from Abhayagiri to Spirit Rock after the closing ceremony on the 28th. The cost for riding the bus and having your bike transported from Abhayagiri to Spirit Rock is $29.50. (We will arrange for all bikes to be covered in blankets and transported back safely. You will not have to take off your pedals or break your bike down.) We can accommodate tandem bikes. I’m arranging the bus ride to save resources and time. (Think how nice it will be not to have to take the day off and drive to Abhayagiri before the ride! Think how nice it will be not to have to worry about finding a ride at the last minute!) If you’d like to take the bus, please mail a check to me (Megan Hagler; 1823 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94703) BY AUGUST 21. Please send me an e-mail when you drop the check in the mail so I'll know to look for it. There is a limit of 47 riders. Sign-up is first come, first served. If enough people don’t sign up, I will cancel the reservation and give everyone a full refund. I’m hopeful that we will have enough folks to pull this off, because lots of people have expressed interest in taking a bus to Spirit Rock. So, if you’re interested, please send your check as soon as you can to reserve your spot. Unfortunately, I will not be able to refund your money if you cancel after August 25. If you cancel after that date, you are welcome to find someone else to take your place. (There probably will be folks willing to take your place, and the carpool coordinator may even help you find a replacement.) Please let me know if you have any questions.
