After the closing ceremony on Sunday, an optional charter bus takes riders and volunteers back to Spirit Rock while their bicycles travel safely on the gear truck. It is a relaxing way to get home with no stress about logistics. If you don’t take the bus, you must plan your own way home from Redwood Valley.

As of 2024, DharmaWheels freely offers seats on the buses. There is no cost to pilgrims, you simply request a seat during registration.

Why do we take on this big expense? Because generosity is the pilgrimage keystone.

How will DharmaWheels pay for the bus? It’s a big risk for an organization that gives away its money every year, but it’s also a triumphant leap of faith in the generosity of pilgrims.
